Volunteer Oppotunities with the Chicago Conservation Corps

One of the great things about the Chicagoland region for those interested in community service and environmental conservation: there’s an endless supply of opportunities to contribute our time and energy to worthy projects — from beach and parkland clean-ups to river restoration to invasive species removal.

C3 January-2013The Chicago Conservation Corps (C3) is a city organization that provides info about volunteer activities and organizes events for individuals and groups who want to give back to the community.

Kick off 2013 right by getting out there and being involved in your community. Help restore the natural area at the Jarvis Bird Sanctuary Workday; join in the conversation about Race and the Environmental Movement; become empowered to Green Your Routine; or learn about natural areas conservation, wildlife protection and monitoring at the Wild Things Conference.

Visit the C3 Event Calendar for a full listing of events and opportunities, and check out their flyer featuring this month’s opportunities to explore environmental service.
