Urban Agriculture Tour on Saturday, Sept. 22

The Chicago Higher Education Sustainable Food Systems Network, a new organization of faculty and sustainability professionals from a wide range of Chicago-based colleges and universities, is sponsoring its first Urban Agriculture tour on Saturday, September 22, from 9:30am to 2:00pm, starting at Loyola University’s campus in Rogers Park on Chicago’s far North Side.

Come experience Urban Agriculture and Community Gardening on Chicago’s North side. We’ll introduce you to other university and community urban gardeners! Join us to see what other universities and communities are doing to make our food systems better.

Meet in Rogers Park at Loyola University Chicago, 1032 W. Sheridan Rd, Chicago, IL 60660 at the Shuttle Stop. See the Tour Map. Shuttle bus departs at 9:30 a.m. Bring a lunch!

 Stop 1: Edgewater Garden at Broadway & Rosemont

Stop 2: Ruby Garden in Schrieber Park at Bosworth & Schreiber

Stop 3: Winthrop Garden at Loyola University Chicago

Stop 4: DePaul University, Belden Ave. and Bissel St. in Lincoln Park
