Listen to Professor Carl Zimring Discuss Chicago’s Recycling Program on WCPT’s Mike Nowak Show

Assistant Professor Carl Zimring, who recently edited The Encyclopedia of Consumption and Waste: The Social Science of Garbage appeared on the first hour of WCPT’s Mike Nowak Show at 9am this past Sunday (yes, Easter Sunday) to discuss the encyclopedia, the pros and cons of last week’s developments in Chicago’s recycling pickup program, and a brief aside about AOR bands of the late 1970s. In the second hour, LaManda Joy of the Peterson Garden Project and Diane Ott Whealy of Seed Savers Exchange described the Edible Treasures garden at the Field Museum of Natural History and Maureen Ewing previewed the Green Metropolis Fair at the Green Exchange in Chicago.
