Register for March 14 Screening of “Bag It” Documentary at the Chicago Center for Green Technology

Chicago area residents concerned about the effects disposable plastic bags have on our waste stream may be interested in a film the Chicago Center for Green Technology (445 N. Sacramento) will show at 6:30pm on March 14.  (Seats still available, register for free here.)

Americans use 60,000 -single-use disposable bags every five minutes that we mindlessly throw away. But where is “away?” Where do the bags and other plastics end up, and at what cost to our environment, marine life and human health? Bag It follows “everyman” Jeb Berrier as he navigates our plastic world. When Jeb’s journey takes a personal twist, we see how our crazy-for-plastic world has finally caught up with us and what we can do about it. Today. Right now.

6:30 p.m. – Opening remarks & refreshments
7:00 p.m. – Screening
8:00 p.m. – Panel/Q&A
