Tomorrow at 6pm, the Chicago Center for Green Technology (445 N. Sacramento) presents Jacky Grimshaw of the Center for Neighborhood Technology discussing “A Transit-Oriented Future: Benefits of Public Transit.”
This seminar aims to inform people of the economic benefits of taking public transit. Building on CNT’s Housing + Transportation Index, class attendees will be more informed of the true economic, social and environmental costs of a sprawling, automobile-dependent transportation system. With new administrations in the City of Chicago and Cook County, the Chicago Region is at a critical point of opportunity and challenge in moving towards a more sustainable future. This seminar will equip people to advocate and mobilize for a transit-oriented future both in their day-to-day lives and through political advocacy.
