GreenTown: Pioneering Healthy and Sustainable Communities in Oak Park October 12

Registration for the GreenTown conference in Oak Park is now open.

GreenTown: Pioneering Healthy and Sustainable Communities will take place on October 12, 2011 at Frank Lloyd Right’s Unity Temple in Oak Park. Registration will open at 7am and will begin promptly at 8:30am. The event will close at 4:30pm with a micro brew reception.

This year’s event, hosted by Pioneering Healthy Communities Oak Park, Cook County Department of Public Health’s Communities Putting Prevention to Work and the Village of Oak Park, will feature a keynote address by Mark Fenton, Host of “America’s Walking” on PBS. Hear from Damon Arnold, M.D., M.P.H., Director of the Illinois Department of Public Health, on the latest statewide initiatives to combat obesity.
