The banner image is by Ryan Hodgson-Rigsbee, a Chicago-based photographer whose work explores nature and the built environment within the urban landscape. Check out his online photo ‘zine, Urban Nature, as well as his 2011 book publication, While Wandering: Chicago. Hodgson-Rigsbee has collaborated with SUST professor and writer Mike Bryson on photo essays about the Chicago River and the many facets of urban nature in the Chicago region. All rights reserved.
