Chicago Recycling Coalition Internship

CRC logoThe Chicago Recycling Coalition is looking for a part-time intern to improve its website, to provide a more dynamic interface for citizens interested in following the latest developments in recycling and composting which impact the region.

The ideal candidate would be able to use the City of Chicago’s data portal in a manner which would provide a clearer understanding of how the City is diverting materials from landfill, while also providing resources to those interested going above and beyond the current Blue Cart system to recycle/reuse additional materials.  The graphic displaying Chicago’s recycling statistics in contrast to official goals, and in comparison to the accomplishments of cities such as NYC, Seattle, San Francisco, etc., is also desirable.

Students interested in learning more about this paid internship opportunity should contact Mr. Carter O’Brien, Sustainability Coordinator and LEED Green Associate, Department of Science and Education, Field Museum of Natural History, Chicago IL at cobrien@fieldmuseum.org or 312-665-7811.
